Lucas Petroleum Group is a privately held oil & gas enterprise comprised of exclusive opportunities, partners and people. LPG was founded in 1973 by Harry Lucas, Jr. with the purpose of direct investment in upstream oil and gas exploration and mineral acquisition.
Today, the company maintains non-operated interests domestically in over 100 wells across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida as well as internationally through an overriding royalty from a prospect it developed in the UK sector of the North Sea.
LPG focuses on high return, conventional, 3-D supported oil and gas projects in the Gulf Coast onshore Tertiary Trend of Texas and South Louisiana, as well as the Norphlet and Smackover Trends extending Eastward to the Florida Panhandle. Beginning in 2019, LPG diversified its scope to include exploration opportunities for Helium and other Noble gases.
